I moved back to Glasgow where I was born, after living in Suffolk for the past 30 years and opened Hoos in July 2016. Hoos is my first venture into retail after a career in the voluntary sector working with Children and Families. I have loved almost every moment of it, working with great Brands and the most amazing team we aim to offer Glasgow an interesting store that is always evolving with new developments and beautiful products. You can buy a nail polish and a settee from Hoos with everything in between!
Favourite Brands: I love them all!

Hi, I’m Amy Mae!
Fine Art Graduate and proud Mama to Austin. I met Karen in 2015 and have been part of Hoos ever since! I love working along side our team of incredible creatives, together we curate some of the best Nordic design houses and Scottish makers.

My Roles: A little bit of everything; design, logistics and handywoman!

About me: I am an architect at heart, design addict and colour ambassador. Having graduated from Architecture School in 2016 in Thessaloniki Greece, I found myself working for an architecture studio in Amsterdam until 2018. I then relocated to London to work for my icon, Tom Dixon, at his headquarters as a retail supervisor and three years later life brought me to Glasgow to pursue a Masters in Interior Design at Glasgow School of Art. I joined the amazing Hoos Team in October ’22 and have ever since been welcoming our lovely clients at our furniture & lighting sister store, inHOOS. When not at work, you will find me searching for breathtaking landscapes and fascinating food.

My Roles: Sales, design consultation, administration, visual merchandising, website maintenance and social media management.
Favourite Brands: Being a huge fan of colour, I am obsessed with HAY! For that same reason, I fell in love with the new Paul Smith Candle range...

About me: Hello, I’m Katy. I am a Glasgow based designer & maker. I graduated from GSA with a degree in Textile Design, Knit & now run a small business selling colourful printed goods, alongside being a Hoosler :-) I joined the Hoos team in 2022 :-)

My Roles: Front of Hoos & getting involved in all of the creative parts of the business!
