Pigmented porcelain; Unglazed on the outside, glazed on the inside. Small variations in the surface and color of the object are a natural and unique trait of the material.
Earthenware: Liquid earthenware clay is poured into a plaster mold from which the design is molded. The Kink Vase is then polished with a wet sponge and fired at 1000°. After firing, the design is glazed with glossy glaze on the inside and a matt glaze on the outside, the design is then taken to the kiln again, this time at 1100°
